Acting President Yemi Osinbajo cancelled his visit to Ondo state on Monday, February 20.
This is the second time Osinbajo will be cancelling his visit to the state.
Osinbajo’s visit to Ondo state was cancelled again due to bad weather
Laolu Akande, the senior special assistant on media and publicity to Osinbajo said the cancellation was due to weather condition.
He said: “Weather conditions again prevent Ag. President Osinbajo’s planned visit to Akure today. Sincere apologies to the government and people of the state.”
Osinbajo was scheduled to visit Ondo state last Friday, but bad weather at the Akure airport, prevented the presidential jet from landing and the event was rescheduled to Monday.
It was also reported that the
Osinbajo has visited some Niger Delta states recently as part of ongoing efforts to ensure lasting peace in the oil producing region.
He was in Rivers state on Monday, February 13, where he said Governor Nyesom Wike deserves the appellation of “Mr Projects” because of his high profile projects across the state.
