Zone 'A' of the Nigeria Customs Federal Operations Unit, has caught a transport conveying two major sacks containing military regalia and boots along the Ijebu-Ode road.
The Hiace transport which was said to have a place with Chimezie Motors Nigeria Limited, with enlistment number JJT 905 XB, was captured on Wednesday.
"This is national security. In spite of the fact that they are not much but rather the harm that will be done will be much, that is the reason we seized them," said the unit manager, Mohammed Aliyu. He told writer that his unit likewise seized 22 vehicles, including nine impenetrable autos.
Aliyu said the autos worth in regards to N1.2 billion, and were caught inside a hedge in Idiroko hub of Ogun State, while others were kept in concealed distribution centers in Lagos.
"This is the second time I will brief the press since I was here. The first occasion when, I revealed to you how we seized booty products worth N1.5 billion inside about fourteen days in office.
"Presently, we have seized 22 autos which nine are impenetrable worth about N9.27million while other non-impenetrable worth N2.4 million.
"Instantly you signal them, they will know they are in peril. They will forsake the vehicle and flee. That is the reason we didn't (make) any capture," he said.
