Upgrade! New ‘danfo’ buses arrive Lagos (See Photos)

New transport buses aka ‘Danfo’ have arrived Lagos state.

The buses have this inscription on their sides: The New Lagos Danfo Bus.

The arrival of the new buses is part of the ongoing efforts of governor Akinwunmi Ambode to modernize the state.

The development was made public on the twitter handle of the All Progressives Congress Youth Frontier South West Geopolitical Zone (@apcyouthomoodua) on Friday, July 7.

The new blue and white buses are set to replace the yellow and black ones which currently ply various routes within the metropolis.

Recall that ZENITHBLOG.com previously reported that governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state, on Monday, February 6 insisted that there were plans afoot to remove yellow buses popularly known as Danfo from Lagos roads.

The reason for this, he said was to ensure, a more efficient, well-structured and world class mass transportation system that would facilitate ease of movement within the city.

Ambode said that his administration would soon roll out a comprehensive environmental sanitation policy that would make the city to be clean without much burden on the people in terms of taxes.
