Drivers of the Lagos Bus Rapid Transit, popularly known as BRT are currently on strike due to unpaid salary allowances by the government of the state.
The strike which started in the early hours of Monday, July 10, has left most Lagos residents stranded and frustrated at bus terminals.
Some residents took to social media to air their anger and disappointment at the new unpleasant situation.
Yellow buses, popularly known as Danfo in the state have reportedly doubled the price of the fare as they are the only available commercial buses in the city at the moment.

Meanwhile, ZENITHBLOG.com reported earlier that the new commercial transport buses aka ‘Danfo’ have arrived Lagos state.
The buses have this inscription on their sides: The New Lagos Danfo Bus. The arrival of the new buses, is part of the ongoing efforts of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to modernize the state.
The development was made public on the twitter handle of the All Progressives Congress Youth Frontier South West Geopolitical Zone (@apcyouthomoodua) on Friday, July 7.
