– MMM has given a cash donation of half a million to indigent women in Lagos
– The scheme also carried out free eye surgery to over 348 patients in Abia state
– Nigerians are however still skeptical of the scheme despite it’s return back to business early this year
Despite criticisms that trailed the scheme over its recent crash in Nigeria, the Mavrodi Mondial Movement scheme popularly known as MMM has continued to woo Nigerians back into its fold by engaging in humanitarian donations across the country.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that MMM recently partnered an NGO, Initiative for Self Esteem Empowerment and Evaluation (ISEE) Inc. in conjunction with Olajumoke Jide Foundation to empower indigent women in Lagos with half a million naira with a view to alleviating poverty.

The three-day event, which was held at Great Citizens School, Isashi Lagos was tagged ‘Skills Acquisition Training’ attracted so many people.
While commenting on the gestures of the popular scheme, the coordinator of ISEE, Mrs. Jide Ojo said: “Women and children account for two-thirds of the world’s population yet they are voiceless in the society and therefore vulnerable. They are often abused and intimidated. That is the reason behind the programme; to empower the woman and make her take her rightful place at home and in the society as ordained by God. Money will be given to the best 20 participants to start businesses after the training.
“Our areas of focus are Women and children especially teens.”
According to ZENITHBLOG.com findings, skills acquired included soap making, making of disinfectants, insecticides and air freshener production ad well as making of confectionaries, head ties and bead making etc.
Amaka Benson, a representative of MMM while addressing the gathering said: “MMM Nigeria this year has stepped up activities in communities from the regular peer to peer donation /charity event to a monthly peer to peer donation and monthly charity events/empowerments in various states of the country.
Going further, she said: “Today we are happy to sponsor the Women Empowerment Skill organized by ISEE. Seeing the joy on the faces of these individuals as they acquire 14 skills in 3days makes us happy and fulfilled as a community that is set to reduce poverty to its barest minimum.”
In her reaction, Mrs Ago Ogoru, one of the participants, said excitedly: “I already have my own business and I will apply the skills I have acquired today to my business. What I have learnt here is invaluable and I want to thank MMM and ISEE for this opportunity.”
As for Mr Chamberlain, he said: “ I feel very excited, because this is so much I am getting for free. It’s too good to be true. A brand new business idea.
“Being able to produce 6 different commonly sought for products in every home. It’s just the beginning of the new things that are already here. I can’t thank the organizers ISEE and sponsor MMM enough for this rare opportunity. I am so grateful. God bless you,” he said.

Also, in Abia state, MMM was said to have also partnered an NGO, International Center for Vision and Health Centre (ICVHC) to carry out free eye surgery to over 348 patients.
In addition, the NGO shared corrective glasses and medicine worth thousands of naira to the lucky patients.
Commenting on the gesture, Dr Nwamaka Orlu, medical director of the centre, commended MMM for the intervention.
Representative of the scheme, Lawrence Chisom, said the scheme had been able to positively transform the lives of the people involved.
ZENITHBLOG.com had also reported that the popular Ponzi scheme MMM brought smile to the faces of children as it donates food items, gifts to Igbehinadun Special School for the Deaf & Dumb and physically Challenged Children.
ZENITHBLOG.com reports that MMM in conjunction with Life Changing Humanitarian Services visited the school on Saturday, April 8 in Okokomaiko, Lagos and unveiled a rehabilitated playing ground and basketball court They also presented food items, beds and gifts to the children.
