The Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday, July 15, announced the meeting of some of its members and executives.
The party in a fresh release announced the notice of expanded national caucus, Board of Trustees and its national executive committee meetings.
The statement which was signed by the Senator Ben Obi and Aminu Wali, the national secretary on behalf of the BoT chairman said the announcement was aimed at informing members of the PDP that the three organs of the party will be meeting at various times.

According to the notice, the national expanded caucus will meet on Monday, July 17, by 8 pm.

The party said those invited for the expanded caucus meeting include: “former presidents and vice presidents, PDP governors, national executive committee (NEC) members, Board of Trustees (BoT) members, National Assembly members, former PDP governors, former PDP ministers and all former national officers of the party.”
The party also said the BoT meeting will hold by 11 pm on Tuesday, July 18, while the national executive committee metting will hold on the smae day at 2 pm.
The notice added that: “All Meetings will take place at the PDP National Secretariat (Wadata Plaza), Plot 1970, Michael Okpara Street, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.”
It also enjoined all members of the party to attend meeting.

This PDP meetings come on the heels of the Supreme Court judgement between the former national chairman of the PDP Ali Modu-Sheriff, four others and the party.
The court in its judgement sacked Sheriff as the party chairman and declared Ahmed Makarfi as the authentic leader of the PDP.
However, despite the controversy and crisis that had eaten deep into party, the new leader of the party has said there would be a general amnesty for all members of the PDP involved in the leadership tussle.
Makarfi also said Modu-Sheriff and all members of his faction would be forgiven.
