What award-winning journalist said in public about his wife's underwear is unbelievable

Award winning investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure, has once again sparked a debate among Ghanaians on what may be considered a very sensitive issue; men washing their partners’ undies.

In his newly launched book, Letters to My Wife, the journalist admits he will wash his wife’s underwear if need be, without shame.

Excerpts from the book read:

“I will wash your pants any day. You don’t need to fall sick. I will gladly wash your pants anytime there’s the need to do so. I will wash them any day of the month. That is my answer. And it is the truth you wanted to hear from me.”

Defending his decision to do this chore many Ghanaian men will never do, Azure says,

“Washing my partner’s clothes will not shrink the size of my manhood. It will not make me less intelligent. It doesn’t take anything away from me. So don’t be worried that if you fall ill in our marriage, I will pile up everything you have to do until you recover.

“I am a real man, Serwaa. Trust me! A man who cannot wash your pant is not worthy of taking that pant off you.”

At the launch of the book on Wednesday, Manasseh confessed that during their honeymoon getaway, he washed his wife’s undie to help her prepare faster for an appointment they had.

Rebecca Azure, Manaseh’s wife also said if people thought her husband did not mean any of the things he wrote in the book, they should wait for the day she tells the story of her marriage.

‘Letters to My Future Wife’ is a collection of letters the investigative journalist wrote to an imaginary wife before he eventually tied the knot with Rebecca Eduafo-Abraham.

Topics he wrote about were usually dicey and controversial, issues which could either bind or break relationships.

Launched at Christ the King auditorium in Accra, the event was graced by the Second Lady, Mrs. Samira Bawumia, Dr. Joyce Aryee, Honorable Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Ace Ankomah among others.
