The planned visit to a former vice president of the second republic Alex Ekwueme by Nnamdi Kanu was cancelled on Sunday, May 7.
The visit ZENITHBLOG.com gathered which was scheduled to hold at the Oko country home of the former vice president in Anambra state was called off due to inconclusive arrangements.
Although a new date is yet to be fixed, Vanguard reports that the meeting was aimed at interacting with some prominent Igbo people on the way forward for the South-East and South-South region.

ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that Kanu, who is the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra would also visit families of members of the group killed by security operatives during various IPOB rallies across Nigeria.

The media and publicity secretary for the IPOB Emma Powerful said in a statement that Kanu will make a condolence visit to the families alongside his entourage

Places to be visited by Nnamdi Kanu include Nkpor in Anambra State, National High School, Aba in Abia State, Ugwuocha (Port Harcourt), Rivers State, Mbiama in Baylesa State and Okwei Primary School in Asaba, Delta State.
“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will visit all the places where our people were killed to pray privately in order to appease the spirits of those who died for our people to live,” Powerful said.
“These people died for us. We will also remember Biafran children who were starved to death through the policy of British and Nigerian governments during the genocidal war against the people of Biafra between 1967 and 1970,” he said.
Recall that the IPOB leader has since his release visited many notable Nigerians including a former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode and the deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu.
Kanu has also visited the Enugu Cenotaph in honour of those who were lost during the Nigeria-Biafra civil war in 1967.
