Nigeria is one of the most unstable countries in the world and this 2017 FSI report proves this

– Nigeria beat 12 other countries and co-ranked with Zimbabwe according to the 2017 Fragile States Index

– Some of the countries beaten by Nigeria include South Sudan, Somalia, Central African Republic, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad and Guinea

Nigeria has been ranked the 13th most unstable country in the world on the 2017 Fragile States Index (FSI) index published on Monday, May 15.

The index released by the Washington DC-based think-tank, Fund for Peace (FFP) and obtained by Premium Times measures levels of stability in 178 countries.

It also ranks these countries according to their vulnerability to threats from social, political, economic and demographic pressures.

The report said in 2017, Nigeria co-ranked with Zimbabwe ranked better than seven African countries.

These countries include South Sudan, Somalia, Central African Republic, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad and Guinea, which are all considered less stable than Nigeria.

Ethiopia is ranked the 14th least stable country in the world.
