The Delta state chapter of National Union of Local Government (NULGE) has commenced its mass rally at Effurum, Warri to protest against non-payment of 13 months salaries to local government staff.

In a message sent to ZENITHBLOG.com, the NULGE Secretary, Comrade Peter Ene, said that the protest rally will continue throughout the senatorial zones and Asaba state capital until the state government resolve their grievances.
ZENITHBLOG.com had previously reported that the protest would take place in the three senatorial zones of the state, commencing today Delta central senatorial zone.

Mr Ene said: “The NULGE is demanding for immediate payment of 8-13 months arrears of salaries from the state government and it also says ‘NO’ to percentage payment of salaries.
