– Another PDP House of Representatives member from Adamawa, Kamale has defected to APC

– Kamale was the only PDP member of the House from Adamawa state

– The other member, Mr. Edward Pwajok, SAN, had last week defected to the APC

A member of the House of Representatives from Adamawa State, Adamu Kamale, who represents Madagali/Michika federal constituency, has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that his defection was announced in a letter read by the Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, on the floor of the house on Tuesday May 23.

ZENITHBLOG.com had previously reported that Honourable Pwajok Edward Gyang representing Jos South/East federal constituency in the House of Representatives has announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Another lawmaker from Benue state, Hassan Anthony, recently announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and that the Speaker of the House of Reps, Yakubu Dogara, overruled an argument by a PDP lawmaker opposing the defection of Hassan Anthony to the APC.

Mr. Kamale cited divisions in the Peoples Democratic Party as his reason for defecting.

His defection is coming barely two weeks after his counterpart from Plateau, Edward Pwajok, declared for the APC.

The minority whip, Yakubu Barde, however said there was no division in the PDP and said his party would challenge Mr. Kamale’s defection in court.
