Some angry car dealers in Kaduna have destroyed an Hilux vehicle belonging to the Nigerian Customs.
According to an eye witness who spoke to ZENITHBLOG.com, the violent situation started when the Customs impounded a vehicle belong to a car dealer and the dealer had to retaliate by ambushing the Customs vehicle.

The witness who craves anonymity said: “Nigerian Customs officers impounded a new vehicle from a car dealer, after some minutes the car dealer gathered his boys and ambushed one of the Nigerian Custom’s vehicle at Raba junction, shattered its window glasses and wind screen and set it ablaze.

Going further, he said of the incident which occurred in Kaduna on May 4: “We were sitting by the road side and the traffic officer stopped cars for the other side to pass, some guys numbered more than ten crossed the road with sticks in their hands and started hitting a Custom Vehicle, the custom officers in the Hilux came out and ran away.

“Car owners went fast out of the traffic some could not even drive they came out of their cars and ran away out of fear. The car dealer’s boy left before security operatives come,” he said.

According to him, it was later learnt that the Customs officers seized their cars and that’s the reason they came and destroy their vehicle.
