A former Boko Haram commander identified as Joseph David, has confessed marrying two of the 278 school girls abducted from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno state, The Nation reports.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that the former 225-year-old Christian said the girls were part of the benefits that accrued to his office as a Boko Haram commander.

Kidnapped at the age of 22 in 2014 from Mubi, Adamawa state, David claims he was indoctrinated and trained to become an Islamist combatant by the Boko Haram terrorist.

He said he was a student of Adamawa State Polytechnic,Yola at the time he was abducted.

ZENITHBLOG.com previously reported that federal government swapped five Boko Haram militants for the 82 Chibok schoolgirls recently released.
This is contrary to some media reports that just two Boko Haram commanders were released in the swap deal.

According to negtiator of the swap deal, the outcome should be seen as “a favourable bargain,” considering what obtained in other climes when it comes to prisoner swap of innocent citizens with suspected terrorists.
