Nigeria’s acting president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has continued to executes the duties due him as occupant of Aso Rock at the moment.
Some very important personalities have visited the acting president within the course of the last two days.
On Wednesday, February 22, Osinbajo had the pleasure of receiving General Waldhauser, Commander of the US-Africa Command and Hon. Symington at the Aso Villa.
At the meeting, General Waldhauser expressed the readiness of the US government to accelerate its contributions to the war on terrorism.

Similarly, Prof Osinbajo yesterday received a Management Team delegation from MTN, at the State House.

The xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa seem to be growing as more people have revealed how they tried to survive the situation.
Vanguard reports that Amb. Uche Ajulu-Okeke who is Nigeria’s consul general in South Africa visited victims of the xenophobic attacks and they narrated the vivid encounters.
Ajulu-Okeke described the attacks as unfortunate and that while a pastor was stabbed; another was arrested by security operatives for defending himself against machete-wielding attackers.
Angry protesters have broken into an office of one of Nigeria’s telecommunications company MTN in the Maitama area of Abuja on Thursday, February 23, The Cable reports.
The protesters attacked some members of staff of the organisation and customers and carted away valuables.
According to a witness, it was the timely intervention of policemen that prevented the protesters from destroying the building.
The policemen have now taken over the area while work has been suspended at the office.
