A foundation led by a young lady, Wanda Monye, Candle Lighters Foundation, on Valentine day put smiles on the faces of the internally displaced persons at Uhogua, Edo state, South south Nigeria.
Monye, who also doubles as the 2016/2017 Miss Ambassador for peace, lead her team to the internally displaced persons’ camp for a valentine outreach to show their love and support for the children.

Monye encouraged the children to hold on to their dreams and strive for excellence in their academics, even in the IDP camp.
According to her, education is their way out of their situation and the gateway to success in life.

She also appealed to the public to show more love and concern to the internally displaced persons noting that they are all Christians and as Christians they should be able to help one another.
Miss Monye said: “I went there for a medical outreach this valentine just to show my love and support the children because I’m concerned about their health.

“I personally gave a motivational and hygiene speech just to encourage them to continue to have hope and gave them some Christian books as well
“The hygiene speech was needful because of the condition of the place.
“Again, I undertook the venture because I discover that many people are not aware of the existence of that placed in Edo state.”
