Edo state-owned Ambrose Alli University (AAU). Ekpoma, has been thrown to mourning, following the death of its immediate past vice chancellor, Dr (Mrs) Cordelia Agbebaku.
Mrs Cordelia Agbebaku reportedly died of colon cancer
It was gathered that she died at about 5 pm on Thursday at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).
Unconfirmed sources had it that the former VC who had been on sabbatical at the United States of America since last year after leaving office, died of cancer of the colon.
The Public Relation Officer of the University, Mr. Edward Aihevba who confirmed the incident, however said they were yet to get full details of her death.

The late Agbebaku who was birn in 1955, was a pioneer law student and of AAU, in 1981. She was the Dean, faculty of law, before she was appointed acting vice chancellor in May, 2011.
She became the substantive VC on February 18, 2014 till 2016 when her tenure expired.
