The Nigerian army vs a disabled person saga has come to an end on Friday, February 10, at 302 Artillery Regiment/14 Field Engineer Regiment in Ontitsha, Anabmra state.
The event which occured at New Market Road, Osha in Onitsha, on February 7 shocked Nigerians
The Nigerian army finally secured a meeting with the physically challenged man who was brutalized by some military personnel.
The new 302 Commander, Col. Idongesit Uko Akpan, and the deputy director on public relations (82 Div), Col. Sagir Musa, met the assaulted disabled person, Mr Chijioke Raphael Uraku, a native of Ikow, Ebonyi state.

Recall that the soldiers descended on the man, beating him to stupor for wearing a camo – clothing only worn by military personnel.
In the unbelievable video which was released online, one of the two soldiers was seen as he throws away the wheelchair of the disabled man, after which the two of them began rolling him around accompanying it with serious beating.
The army however confirmed that the soldiers who carried out the dastardly act have been apprehended and subjected to face disciplinary actions.
Cash gift and assorted clothes were presented to the victim. The officers of the Nigerian army condemned the “unwholesome act”.
