– Professor Yemi Osinbajo was received earlier in the day by Niger state officials as he arrived the state to open the Economic Summit which starts today, August 14, 2017
– Osinbajo has now been joined by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo who is also participating at the summit
– Sokoto state governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Minister of Agriculture Audu Ogbeh, and the Sultan of Sokoto have also touched down in Niger to participate in the summit
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has also arrived in Niger state today Monday August 14, to join Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for the Niger Investment Summit, 2017.
The Acting President had touched down in the state earlier in the day, to declare open the economic summit.
The announcement was made public via the twitter account of Inside Arewa News, @Insidearewa.

Also arriving the state for the opening of the summit, was the Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal.
The tweet read: “Niger state Government Officials welcomes Ag. Pres @ProfOsinbajo, Sokoto state Governor @AWTambuwal among others to Niger Economic Summit.”

Meanwhile, ZENITHBLOG.com previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari was once again urged to diversifying the economy in order to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.
Former governor of Niger state, Alhaji Babangida Aliyu, made this call in Abuja during an interview.
He stated: “For many years we have been talking about the diversification of our economy but we kept on relying on oil”.
