Ozubulu church resumes service after attack that claimed 13 lives (Photos)

– 13 people were killed, while 26 were injured in the church exactly a week ago

A week after a deadly attack by Unknown gunmen, the St.Philips Catholic Church, Ozubulu, Anambra state has reopened the church for worship.

ZENITHBLOG.com had earlier reported that the attack on Sunday 6 of August reportedly cost the lives of 13 people while 26 sustained various degree of injury.

The archbishop of Anambra state, His Lordship Bishop Odili Okeke of Nnewi Arch- diocese was at the church on Saturday, August 12, to sanctify the building.

Meanwhile, a 5-man federal government delegation has been dispatched to Anambra state over the massacre at St. Philips Catholic Church, Ozubulu, by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, Punch reports.

The delegation is expected to visit and condole with the state government and the people of the state, over the gruesome attack which occurred on Sunday, August 6.

The development was made public in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja by Laolu Akande, the Senior Special Assistant to the Acting President on Media and Publicity.
