Recently officers of the Nigeria Police Force have been achieving positive results in kidnapping cases.
For sometime now, the cases and stories of kidnapping have been a huge concern for the force under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris.
The force in its unrelenting efforts to keep Nigerians safe arrested an additional 40 suspected kidnappers terrorizing the Abuja-Kaduna Highway and other locations.

ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that CSP Jimoh Moshood, the PRO in a statement via its Facebook page listed the names of 40 people arrested, adding the list of items that were recovered from the suspects
The intensified efforts of the force was a joint effort by a group of special teams with the force.

In June the police announced that a special unit was deployed along the highway to check the menace with their base of operation at Rijanah in Kaduna state.
