Journalist exposes original target of the Anambra Catholic Church massacre (See Photos)

– Journalist Hillary Nnoruka, posted images of Aloysius Ikegwuonu, whom he revealed to be the intended target of the gunmen, via his twitter handle

– Several people were killed when the gunmen struck the Catholic church during an early morning mass

– Ikegwuonu is a celebrated indigene and a high chief of the Ozubulu community in Anambra state, where the horrid incident took place

The alleged intended target of the massacre at St. Philips Catholic Church,Ozubulu, Anambra, has been identified as Aloysius Ikegwuonu a.k.a Bishop.

The church was invaded by gunmen on Sunday August 6, who proceeded to open fire on worshipers, killing several people and injuring others, when they did not find the target there.

ZENITHBLOG.com notes that images of Ikegwuonu were uploaded by journalist Hillary Nnoruka, via his twitter page, @happyhilly.

He wrote: “The target of Sunday’s shooting at a Catholic Church in Ozubulu, Anambra State – Aloysuis Ikegwuonu a.k.a Bishop”

Meanwhile, ZENITHBLOG.com previously reported that governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state said two persons from Ozubulu who are known drug barons in South Africa are the prime suspects of the attack on St. Philips Catholic church in Ozubulu.

The governor made the statement on Sunday, August 6, shortly after he visited the scene of the attack in Ekwusigo local government area of the state.
