International athlete denies mocking Nigeria after winning medal in London

19-year-old Salwa Eid Naser who is a 400m silver medalist at the ongoing World Athletics championship in London has revealed that she is happy about her win in the big game.

The beautiful damsel formally known as Ebelechukwu Agbapuonwu was born in Nigeria by Nigerian parents before she moved and naturalized to Bahrain in 2014.

On Thursday, August 10, her career attained a new height after she set a new national record to win both her heat in 50.57 seconds and the semi-final in 50.08 seconds.

Following this reports surfaced online that, Naser was asked if she had any message for the new board of the Athletic Federation of Nigeria, and she said, “I don’t really have anything to say to them. “The past three years have been a great transition for me and I’m glad. I have nothing to say to the AFN.”

Reacting to the viral news on social media, Naser took to her Facebook page to express her disappointment over the news making rounds. She wrote, “The Nigerian entertainment bloggers twisted my words and I feel shocked with the whole scenario they have put out there.

To my supporters I thank you for still standing with me especially those who defended my stance I have nothing but love for you all. Thank you and God bless”.
