ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that a man who pretended to be a visually impaired beggar, was arrested and paraded at the Ikorodu area of Lagos state, recently.
Before he was caught on August 21, the fake beggar identified as Abdullahi Abbas, reportedly hit the streets of Ikorodu everyday with a 12-year-old boy in tow.
Following his arrest, Abbas confessed that he made between N5500-N8000 daily, just from begging (a lot more than most salary earners make) at First Gate and Odogunyan.
According to Vanguard, Abbas was caught after an encounter with a resident named Adeoye Baliks, who upon realising that he was not really blind, raised an alarm.

Upon further interrogations, the Oyo state indigene revealed that he belonged to a group of fake beggars who took advantage of people by pretending to have some sort of deformity.
Abbas narrowly escaped jungle justice as he was rescued from the hands of an irate mob, and handed over to policemen in Sagamu.
