A young girl from Borno state, in the north-east region of Nigeria, has described how her father and teacher were both killed by the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group.
Her story was shared via the twitter handle of UNICEF Nigeria, @UNICEF_Nigeria.
The tweet simply read : “Her father was killed.
“Her teacher was killed.
“Her school was destroyed.
“School children are #NotATarget.”

Inside Arewa News further quotes the young girl as stating while crying:“Together with our parents, my five siblings and I were one happy family until Boko Haram attacked and overthrew our town.”

She was eventually able to flee Gwoza to Hong, Adamawa state, with the rest of her family, after the horrible murders.
Thankfully, she has been able to continue with her education in the new location, in a UNICEF-supported school.

Meanwhile, ZENITHBLOG.com previously reported that the Nigerian Army in furtherance of its operation against Boko Haram terrorists launched an ambush that resulted in the death of 10 terrorists.
In a statement released by Col. Timothy Antigha, the Deputy Director of Public Relations of 8 Task Force Division on Wednesday August 16, he said the attack took place in Maza village in Marte, Borno state.
According to Antigha, the terrorists fell into the ambush and 10 of them were neutralized while their bicycles were recovered.
