A man has been paraded around after he was caught stealing electric wires in Umuchu area of Anambra state.
According to Facebook user, Ekwem, the man was caught stealing electric wires in Umuchu.
In photos shared on social media, the thief was seen carrying rolls of wire on his head while people gathered around him.
The unidentified thief was also put at the back of a police car and paraded around Umuchu for everyone to see.

Ekwem noted in his post that the vigilante group in Umuchu had been working hard to put a stop to criminal activities in the area.
The Facebook user also disclosed that the thief caught is also suspected of carrying out several wire theft in Umunze and Umuchu area of the state.

With this new development, it seems like Nigerians are becoming opened to the idea of not lynching criminals caught stealing as they just paraded him around for people to see.
Meanwhile, some police officers also stopped a crowd from lynching alleged kidnapper in Lagos state.
