On Wednesday, March 29, former students’ union leaders visited the Senator representing Kogi West Central Dino Melaye at the National Assembly Complex.

The union leaders accompanied by former classmates of the embattled senator said their visit is in solidarity with allegations leveled against him.

The leaders and classmates in their numbers are currently in a meeting with the Senator at NASS.

The vice chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria had confirmed that Melaye formerly Daniel Melaye graduated from the institution with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Geography.

Recall that the vice chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria had confirmed that Melaye formerly Daniel Melaye graduated from the institution with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Geography.

The vice chancellor at a hearing with the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges said Melaye graduated in 2001.

Meanwhile, Melaye has also released his mandatory National Youth Service certificate which shows that he started his service year in 2000 and completed the programme in 2001.

Also, on Wednesday, March 29, the Senate and its leadership slammed a six month suspension on Senator Ali Ndume for raising unconfirmed and un-investigated allegations against Melaye and the Senate President Bukola Saraki.
