Ejiofor said his client is only a political prisoner as such suffering as such.

“We must compel the federal government; we are all partners in democracy and must ensure we protect this,” Ejiofor said.

“And let me also say this, all executives, presidents, governors and all, their immunity will elapse someday and they will face justice at the ICC.” he said.

Ejiofor added that his team is building its case against the president, some Nigeria security agencies and some public officers.

“We have various indicting reports on the FG on the killings of IPOB members and Biafra supporters including the Amnesty report on the killing and we will make good use of all this,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the IPOB had on Friday, January 20, said that 11 of its members were killed by security operatives.

The group said the members were killed during an IPOB/Trump solidarity rally that took place in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

However, the Nigerian police in reaction to the IPOB’s allegation said its officers used minimal force in dispersing the crowd at the rally.
