Southern Kaduna killing: CAC church sends warning to FG

Pastor Akinosun has called on the government to find solution to the killing of Christians in Kaduna.

The president of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pastor Abraham Akinosun, has cautioned the federal government against supporting one religion against another in relation to the crisis in Kaduna state.

The cleric, who spoke after the inauguration of the (CAC) staff guest house on the campus of Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun state on Friday, January 20, condemned the violence in Kaduna.

Akinosun called on the government to find solution to the killing of Christians in the state, The Punch reports.

He said: “Our leaders must see all religions as equal and none must be placed over the other.

“For any government or people at the helm to support Islam at the expense of other religions amounts to su*cide and this will not be allowed in this country. Our government should be fair to all and do justice to all.”

On the economy, Akinosun said the current harsh economic condition the country would come to an end, saying it was a blessing in disguise for the people of the country as it would lead to the discovery of potential embedded in Nigerians.

“There was a time in the history of Ghana and India when they had this kind of experience, but today, the story of these nations has changed. Very soon, we will also laugh in Nigeria and the time is near,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have been urged to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari rather than heap blames on the country’s number one citizen.

This call was made by Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state on Saturday, January 21, during an event organised to honour Aliyu Wamakko, the immediate past governor of the state, Daily Post reports.

According to the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, President Buhari has done a lot to reduce the prowess of Boko Haram terrorists in the country, and this is just one of the many things he is doing to make Nigeria a better place for all.
