Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose has paid a visit to former military head of state General Abdulsalami Abubakar (retired) at his Abuja residence on Wednesday, March 1.
The pictures of the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum with the former Nigerian leader were released on Thursday, March 2 morning by Fayose’s aide on new media Lere Olayinka.
Olayinka however did not release details of the meeting or why Fayose visited.
Meanwhile, Fayose has revealed that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has landed a big role as the leader of the peace process of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which is aimed at finding a lasting solution to the leadership crisis in the opposition.
Fayose told The Punch on Wednesday that this was one of the results of the meeting between Jonathan and PDP governors which took place on Tuesday, February 28 night in Abuja.
