Ever since the popular Alade market got moved from Allen junction in Ikeja, life has not remained the same for the sellers and buyers who love the market.
Apart from the fact that the stall owners lost customers who could not move to the site they were relocated to, the area felt strange without the assorted market. The reconstruction of the mall by the government has been received with a lot of speculations.
There are so many unanswered questions asked by Nigerians who are deeply affected by the innovation. N13bn has been approved and set aside for the construction of the new Alade mall. Many Nigerians took to their twitter pages where they joined the conversation and expressed their views about the new project.
As hilarious as some of their tweets are, it would be preposterous not to mark the undertone and get the message passed in the process. Nigerians are bothered about this construction as they are unsure of the price that the shops will be set for. Changing the name from Alade market to Alade mall is strange to those who patronise the old market.
Knowing the way things are being run in the country, Nigerians are skeptical over what the government hopes to get out of this new project. Check out the way Nigerians are handling the news of the new Alade mall below:
