A 45-year-old man on Tuesday, January 24, nearly lost his life when he was set on fire over a dog in Wollongong, a city south of Sydney in Australia.
The incident left the man in a critical condition and he was rushed to the nearby hospital.

The police rescue team on Wednesday January 25 said the victim was enveloped in the inferno during a dispute that happened between him and his neighbour over a dog.
Police said the 41-year-old attacker set his two dogs on a couple he was arguing with and then doused the male with a flammable liquid before setting him on fire.
“The victim has erupted in flames on his face, chest, arms and torso,’’ police said, describing his injuries as “permanent and horrendous”.
The female was also injured when she tried to help the victim.

The suspect was arrested and charged by police with throwing an explosive with intent to maim or cause grievous bodily harm.
A court was told that the alleged attacker was the subject of an active warrant in the state of South Australia regarding an alleged assault with a weapon, reports dpa.
