The Department of State Services (DSS) has saved residents of Kaduna city from terrorist attack following arrest of Boko Haram members who had planned to attack the city having escaped from Yobe state.
Spokesman of the DSS, Tony Opuiyo, said a Boko Haram member, one Alkasim Salisu, was nabbed at Rigasa area of Kaduna state where he had planned with his colleagues to attack the city.

Daily Post reports that Salisu had escaped from the military onslaught in Yobe state to settle in Kaduna, but rather than settle for a better living, he organized his colleagues to unleash terror on the people of Kaduna metropolis but was unlucky as the DSS intercepted him.

The DSS spokesman also said the service rescued four oil workers who were kidnapped in Port Harcourt from their abductors on January 13, 2017.
He said the kidnap gang was led by one Emmanuel Eyo who was earlier arrested in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital.
According to him, a staff of DSS sustained gunshot injuries while three members of the kidnap syndicate were brought down in the gun duel.
He disclosed that one AK.47 rifle, one magazine containing 59 rounds of 7.5mm ammunition and three locally made pistols were recovered from the gang.
