Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose has criticized the federal government economic policies and President Buhari’s presentation of Nigeria to foreign countries.
Fayose while speaking during a political programme, Sunday Politics, said that federal government economic policy is incapable of getting Nigeria out of recession.

Fayose said economic hardship in Nigeria is due to some of the policies and body language of the federal government.
On the same programme, the spokesperson of President Buhari, Femi Adesina, assured Nigerians that the country will escape recession this year as the Buhari’s administration is working hard to end the suffering of Nigerians.
Adesina speaking on recession said: “Before the end of this year, the change will be evident. World bank has said it, IMF has said it, Nigeria’s economic recession will end this year.”
Fayose said Buhari’s body language about Nigeria to foreign countries is worsening the country’s reputation. he said: “The situation where the governor will go out of the country and say ‘my people are thieves…”
“We have set out to borrow $30 billion, our national reserves is about $24 billion dollars, so where will you pay back?
“The consequential effect of all these things is for years to come.”

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state has picked holes in the emergence of Governor Ayo Fayose as the Chairman of Governors’ Forum of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
The party says the governor lacks decorum to function as the chairman of the forum because of his recent actions.
APC made its stance known in statement issued in Akure, the Ondo state capital on Monday, January 23 by its publicity secretary, Abayomi Adesanya.
