Some Kwara people have taken to the streets allegedly protesting against Senate president, Bukola Saraki
– The protesters say they are tired of Saraki’s political influence on the state
A protest is currently going on in Kwara state as some residents said they have become tired of their alleged political imprisonment by Senate president, Bukola Saraki.
Online medium, Sahara Reporters, which revealed the video of the protesting residents, said aggrieved are mostly made up of women and youth.

Saraki was a governor of the state for eight years before moving to the Senate where he is the current president and chairman of the National Assembly.
Armed with placards carrying various inscriptions, the angry residents marched across the streets.
He is believed to have made Abdulfatah Ahmed the current governor of the state and had continued to wield strong influence.

At the time of this report, Saraki had not officially reacted.
