She has successfully worked in this field for 20 years as a consultant in investments and services, a bank executive and a capital manager. She has also worked as a consultant in the field of retail services and financial resources management. So who is CBN deputy governor? Let’s find out below.
Life and career
The new Deputy Governor of CBN was born on October 26, 1977 in Niger State. She is the head of women’s council in the sphere of business, public service, management (WIMBIZ), and formerly an executive director of Diamond Bank Plc.
The non-profit organization WIMBIZ began operations in 2001. Its goal is to take care of the interests of women engaged in business with a lot of attention to the development of leadership qualities, the disclosure of potentials and rapid growth of results.
The former DG Sarah Alade left office in March 2017. She was the only woman in the administrative head of Central Bank of Nigeria.
Ms Ahmad has worked in many prestigious banks such as Stanbic IBTC, Zenith, NAL. She became a member of CFA and CAIA before she was appointed put in charge of consumer lending in Diamond Bank.

Education
Aishah Ahmad has a Masters degree in Finance and Management; she studied at the Cranfield management school in the United Kingdom. She also has Masters in Business Administration. She received her MBA degree at the University of Lagos.
Personal life
Her husband is retired brigadier general, Abdallah Ahmad. The couple has two sons.
News of her appointment was shared on Thursday, October 5, 2017 and she is to resume work immediately after approval of the Senate. Let’s wish her good luck at her new post!
