President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with the minister of state for petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu, over the latter’s allegations of insubordination and humiliation against the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Maikanti Baru.

Daily Trust reports that the minister arrived the president’s office at 11:40am.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that Kachikwu had alleged that the NNPC boss had repeatedly sidelined and disrespected the board of the national oil firm, which is chaired by the minister of state.
The minister, in a leaked letter, had informed Buhari that against the rules, some over $25bn contracts were never reviewed or discussed with him or the board of NNPC.
ZENITHBLOG.com also gathered that Kachikwu was also at the Villa on Thursday, October 5 where he held a brief meeting with the Chief of Staff to the president, Abba Kyari.
The meeting with Buhari is coming three days after a memo from the minister to the president leaked. In the memo, dated August 30, Mr. Kachikwu accused the Group Managing Director of the state oil firm, NNPC, Maikanti Baru, of insubordination and violation of due process.

Meanwhile, ZENITHBLOG.com had previously reported that Kachikwu, in a letter written to President Muhammadu Buhari laid some accusations at the door of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
