The fight against corruption must be holistic – NLC (photos, video)

On Thursday, February 9, members of the Nigerian Labour Congress and its sister association, the Trade Union Congress to the street of major cities in Nigeria in a protest against the government.

The unions lamented among other things the high cost of living in Nigeria and the hardship faced by many Nigerians currently.

They also demanded for good governance at all level of government.

Among those who championed the protest was the national president of the NLC Ayuba Wabba.

Wabba who spoke during the protest said: “Comrades we have said it over and over again that we are here to fight those in government that are engaged in corrupt practices.”

“We have said it in one ministry and we are going to follow it ministry by ministry, National Assembly, the judiciary, the states and the local government areas,” Wabba said.

He added that the issue of good governance and salary payment must be made priorities by the federal, state and local governments.
