More than 50 thousand Bibles survived a huge fire that engulfed the Bible Society of Zambia building in Lusaka on Wednesday, despite being stored in a warehouse within the same building.
The fire gutted down a significant part of the building

The Chairman of the Board of the Bible Society of Zambia, Reverend Edwin Zulu said that the huge fire did not affect the warehouse in which the Bibles were safely stored.
He added that the fact that no injuries or deaths occurred and that the Bibles remained untouched is a miracle from God.

Zulu added that investigations are still ongoing to establish the cause of the fire, which was so huge that its plumes of smoke could be seen from far.
He also said that although the damage was extensive, there has not yet been a determination of how much it would cost to repair the building.
