Ex – militants take Femi Fani Kayode to the cleaners over attacks on Buhari

Former Niger Delta militants have rained knocks on Chief Femi Fani-Kayode over his comments against President Muhammadu Buhari

– The group described him as having emotional torture occasioned by the loss of his party at the 2015 general elections

– The former militants said President Buhari transmitted powers to Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, hence there is no need for anyone making uncomplimentary comments against Buhari

The National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators has lampooned the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode, over his incessant attacks on President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Media, Publicity and Strategy Director of the group, Ben Onyemaechi, said the bitterness and hatred expressed by Fani Kayode against the current administration could only be explained to mean he is passing through emotional torture occasioned by the lost of his party at the 2015 presidential election.

He said the failed presidential candidate of the PDP, Goodluck Jonathan, is going on with his life as a statesman but Fani- Kayode chose to cry more than the bereaved, hence he is pouring his annoyance on President Muhammadu Buhari.

The reaction, the group said, followed the fear expressed by the former aviation minister over the safety of the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, as it concerns the health status of President Buhari and his elongated medical vacation in the United Kingdom.

The group noted that the President, before embarking on his vacation, had done the needful by transmitting a letter directing the Vice President to act as President in his stead wondering where Fani-Kayode situated his fear if not for want of creating apprehensions and hitting up the polity.

Onyemaechi said although the politician wasn’t alone in his dilemma, there were others in the PDP whose opinions were formed around their hatred for anything that has to do with President Muhammadu Buhari, the APC and the Hausa Fulani for wanting to stay perpetually in the corridors of power.

The ex – militant group, which has pledged unalloyed loyalty to the President Buhari’s government, noted that since former President Olusegun Obasanjo brought Fani-Kayode into limelight and made him minister of aviation, he has been shuttling from one court to the other over corruption charges even under the PDP government.

He has gotten it all wrong this time. So he did to former President GoodluckJonathan until he was brought into his campaign organisation and that gave him the chance to whittle down the leftover of the Ijaw – born politician’s popularity.

It further said rather than minding his numerous corruption cases in courts, FFK is busy “retailing lies” to unsuspecting citizens through his hate comments in the most unpatriotic manner.

The earlier he understands that power is transient the better for Chief Fani-Kayode. In the game of ingratitude, FFK is legendary. It was he who openly called Chief Obasanjo an ingrate for not supporting the ambition of a former military president to contest election.

“We know him and we are telling him to retrace his footsteps. We are aware that the association of bad losers has been formed against this administration by the PDP but then the APC is not losing sleep over their shameful tirades because a service driven team is in place but not looters and plunderers of our national wealth,” he said.
