The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released names of the best performing ministers of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
The ruling party made the announcement in a tweet on its official Twitter handle in the early hours of Thursday, February 9.
They are as follows:
1. Babatunde Fashola
Leading the list is minister of power, works and housing Babatunde Fashola, who manages three top ministries. He is a former governor of Lagos state.
2. Chibuike Amaechi
Second on the list is minister of transport Chibuike Amaechi. Amaechi is immediate past governor of Rivers state.
3. Ibe Kachikwu
Minister of state for petroleum Ibe Kachikwu is third on the list. He is the immediate past General Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). The position is now held by Maikanti Baru.
4. Geoffrey Onyeama
Coming last on the list is foreign affairs minister Geoffrey Onyeama. Onyeama played a huge role in the resolution of the political crisis that nearly tore The Gambia apart in January 2017.
The party did not mention the basis on which the ministers’ performances were measured.
It was however not surprising that minister for finance Kemi Adeosun and minister of budget and planning Udoma Udo Udoma were missing on the list in the light of the country’s present poor economic situation that triggered nationwide protest on Monday, February 6.
