Anadi said this at a seminar organised by the Mothers’ Union/Women’s Guild, Basilica of Grace Church, Apo, (Anglican Communion), on the topic ‘’The Working Woman’’.
The seminar was organised as part of the week-long activities to celebrate the 2017 Mothering Sunday.
That Mothering Sunday is usually celebrated on the 3rd Sunday in Lent in the Anglican Communion to honour and celebrate mothers.

She said that it was God’s design for women to work, however, that they must not work to the detriment of their homes but that their work should glorify God.
Anadi said that the first work God gave to women was to be good to their husbands, adding that the Bible makes it clear that women should seek their husbands’ good.
“God fashioned women to work because He worked and the essence of our work is to give God glory.
“The virtuous woman as described in the Bible worked and at the same time, took care of her home.
“Her first responsibility was to her home; that is the type of woman God wants us to be.
“If we neglect our homes and husbands, we are not fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives.
“Our work as working women must be holistic; Jesus, who is our example, was a rounded character and so should we be.’’
Anadi advised women to avoid nagging and shouting and instead constantly lift up their families to God in
Furthermore, she said that women should treat their house-helps as they would treat their own children.
“When you talk of your household, it includes your house-helps and nannies and we must take care of them.

“If you cannot treat them like your own, it is better to send them back to their parents because God will hold you accountable.’’
While underscoring the importance of hard work, she also said that part of a woman’s work was to invest and save for the future.
According to her, it is the duty of the woman to ensure her children are well grounded physically and spiritually, adding “ if you neglect their spiritual life, it will ultimately affect their physical life.’’
Anadi advised women to be consistent for God in their work places and not compromise their faith.
“As Christian women, we must stand our ground and be ambassadors for Christ no matter what we face in our various work places.
“God has placed us in our various fields of endeavour to represent Him and there is a reward for the righteous; we should fear the Lord for that is the secret of a virtuous woman,’’ she said.
Meanwhile, the question of women becoming president of Nigeria has continued to arise and gaining momentum as the years go by. In the video footage below, Zenithblog.com caught up with some women to know their opinion.
