This VIDEO of Borno students getting flogged as they struggle to buy JAMB forms will make you mad at Nigeria

The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) began the sale of the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms on Monday, March 20.

Before the exam which has been scheduled for May, there will be an optional mock examination which will take place in all the accredited CBT centres to prepare and familiarise interested candidates with the CBT environment.

JAMB is expecting about two million candidates to register for the 2017 UTME across the country within the allowed period of March 20 to April 19

Speaking on Wednesday, March 22, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin said about 20,000 prospective candidates successfully registered in two days.

A video clip shared by a concerned Twitter user has shown that some candidates are not finding it easy to purchase the form.

The video shared by Yadomah Mandara shows a large number of candidates in Maiduguri, Borno state on a queue under the scorching sun trying to purchase JAMB form.

The security officials did not help matters as they were harassing the students, flogging them like animals

Meanwhile, a list of some of the approved CBT Centres for the registration of candidates has been released by JAMB.

Candidate are expected to visit any accredited CBT centre with his/her personal details, the profile and evidence of payment.
