Two suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers have been killed by security operative attempting to enter Maiduguri, Borno state on Saturday, March 11.
NAN reports that Victor Isuku of the Borno state police command confirmed the incident.

He said they bombers attempted to enter the capital city through the Umarari in Molai, near Damboa road but were intercepted by security operative.
He said: “On Saturday at about 20:45hrs, two female suspected suicide bombers, of about 18 years of age, attempted to enter Maiduguri through Umarari in Molai General Area which is about 9 Kilometres to the township.

“They were sighted by local vigilantes- the Civilian JTF- and consequently shot dead by security personnel on duty at the area.”

Also on Saturday, 211 civilians were rescued from Boko Haram terrorists by the army at Cingal Murye and Maja villages.

Brigadier-General Sani Kukasheka Usman in a statement said one terrorist was neutralised while 11 bicycles were recovered from the fleeing terrorists.
“In addition, the patrol team escorted two heavy duty trucks and 18 pickup vans to recover Internally Displaced Persons’ food stuff from Mala Maja.”
