According to IfeanyiCy Njoku: “Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha at inception of office in 2011 promised Ndi-Imo, that he would build 27 general Hospitals, and on the premise of that promise he sold Imo existing General Hospitals and rendered the state owned Primary Health Centres and Imo State University Teaching Hospital (IMSUTH) under his watch comatose, structures dilapidated and environment in a sorry state and nothing to write home about.
“The 27 General Hospitals he promised, even one is yet to be completed or functional six years down the line. All we see in Imo are mere phantasm, yet money comes to Imo treasury in tens of billions.
“Minus the state and local government allocations, Imo under the watch of Okorocha was lucky, his predecessor, Ohakim left for him whopping sum of about N28. 3 billion, another N26. 8 billion federal government bailout fund, N13. 6 billion Paris Loan Refund and the recently released N13. 4 billion second batch of Paris Loan Refund by the Federal government.

“Upon all these monies, Imo under Okorocha cannot boast of a standard hospital or functionality of existing ones. Neither is there any industry or factory built to sign off all these huge funds accruing to Imo State from Federation account.”
ZENITHBLOG.com has however not been able to verify the allegations against the governor.
