The governor of Edo state Godwin Obaseki on Sunday, March 12, inaugurated a 13-man committee for the funeral of the late military governor of former Bendel state Samuel Ogbemudia.
The committee headed by the secretary to the state government Osarodion Ogie is expected to liaise with Ogbemudia’s family for a smooth burial rite for the late military governor.

The burial of Ogbemudia who died on Thursday, at the age of 84, has been slated March 17 in his home town in Edo state.

It was gathered that the late former military governor had prepared his grave and planned his funeral before his death.
He also instructed that his corpse should not be kept for more than seven days after his death.
Ogbemudia also instructed that his corpse must not be exposed to the public.
