President Muhammadu Buhari met with the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting took place behind closed door on Tuesday, March 14 as the president received briefing on the state of the economy during the period he was out of the country on medical vacation.
The CBN governor was expected to brief the president concerning attempt to stabilise the naira although he did not speak with journalists after the meeting.

The president signed the instrument of ratification of the treaty on the establishment of the Abidjan-Lagos corridor.
The treaty is among the governments of Republic of Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo and Nigeria.
