– The Federal High Court Judge sitting in Jos, Justice B. O Quadiri, said he has a tight schedule, hence the case will appear two to three times a year

– The case will resume hearing again on April 25th and 26th this year

The fraud case involving the former governor of Gombe state, Senator Danjuma Goje will be held twice or three times a year, the Federal High Court Judge sitting in Jos, Plateau state, Justice B.O. Quadiri, has said.

Daily Trust is reporting that Goje’s alleged N25billion fraud case also included contracts of food supplies to Gombe Government House and NIbn contract on provision of dictionaries to schools while in office.

Justice Quadiri said he has a tight schedule, noting that he presides over cases in three cities of the nation which he named to include Port Harcourt, Gombe and Jos and now he has been recently transferred to Abuja.

He said: “I have tight

schedules, I am presiding over many cases in Jos, Gombe and Port Harcourt, and now I have been transferred to Abuja.

“It would take me February and March to settle in Abuja, my new place in Abuja would need me, so also in three other places. Therefore that would compel this sitting to be holding twice or at most thrice a year”.

Counsel to the plaintiffs, EFCC and Gombe state, Barrister Wahab Shittu, presented three witnesses, the Permanent Secretary and Accounting officer for the state government house, Dr. Sani Dajure, Tax Clearance Officer of the state of the state inland revenue service, Alhaji Mohammed Bajure and others.

The judge adjourned the sitting to 25th and 26th April, 2017.
