On Tuesday, January 10, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu appeared before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja division.
Dogs were used for security during Nnamdi Kanu’s trial today
The criminal trial against the IPOB leader was also expected to begin on the same day after the court had ruled that witnesses in the matter be protected behind a screen guard.
However, the matter did not go on as expected, due to applications filed by the defendants on the basis that the charges against them were baseless.
While the court premises were filed with security officers from various agencies, dogs were also brought to the court during the trial.
The four dogs – two Rottweilers and two German shepherds – were position on the staircase leading to the courthouse.
The dogs were also positioned in a manner close the prison van which conveyed the IPOB leader.
