The National Youth Service Corps is a body that prides itself on the high level of organisation they have considering the number of years they have been in operation.

They have developed themselves in all forms and have gained the trust of millions of Nigerians both home and abroad.
With the reputation of the NYSC scheme, one would never imagine that things would get to a point where the management would be unable to pay corp members their allowance.
Thousands of Nigerians look forward to serving their fatherland because they use the opportunity to pull funds together to start their lives upon the completion of the service.
The National Youth Service Corps management has however defaulted. They were unable to pay the December 2016 allowance of corp members in some states.
The management regrets not being able to meet up with the expectations of Nigerians. They revealed that the Ministry of Finance and the office of the Accountant General are working hand in hand to know the causes of the delay and make payment as soon as possible.
They have received positive assurance that things will be normalised as soon as possible. They apologised for the delay and appreciated those who have been patient with them so far.
