According to Senator Sani, reports that one of his top supporters allegedly decamped to the group of the governor were not true because the man who is being mentioned Sheik Uba Abdulaziz Sani is unknown to him.

Sani told Daily Post that since the alleged defector was unknown to him and had received certain benefits, financially and otherwise from the governor, then it stands to reason that the former FCT minister had been played by a fraudster.

“I do not know Shiek Abdulaziz and he never belonged to my camp as he claimed.

“Governor El-rufa’i invited him and few others through his S.A ‎Political Affairs, Mallam Uba Sani and gave each of them N200,000, a plot of land

and a contract for defecting from my camp. Honestly, they don’t belong to my camp, hence, Mr. governor has been duped,” Sani said.

After this revelation, Daily Post reports that Senator Sani then advised the governor not to allow himself be used by fraudsters who want to take advantage of the animosity between to make their own political gains.

Sani then reportedly advised the governor to face the governing of the state than wasting resources in fighting political battles with him.

“Without being told, there are issues begging for attention and I expect him to concentrate on solving those issues rather than wasting resources the way it happened,” Sani added.

As Sani and El-Rufai fight, Christians in Southern Kaduna have begun pressuring President Muhammadu Buhari for a state of their own following several recent killings in the area which were carried out by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

The National Secretary-General of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure called on the Federal Government to create a new state for the southern Kaduna people.

The call, Kure says, is in a bid to avoid further violent upheavals between militant Fulani herdsmen and natives in southern Kaduna.
